New Yorkers feel we’ve turned a corner against COVID-19 but remain cautious about resuming normal activities, according to results of the eighth weekly tracking survey from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy. Many respondents say they will not participate fully in everyday life until a vaccine is available. In other findings, food insecurity levels in New York City are three times higher than before the epidemic.

John Jay professor Richard Haw spent 13 years on a definitive biography of John A. Roebling, the brilliant, eccentric designer of New York’s greatest landmark of 19th Century engineering. The book is just out and Haw talks about it on our Book Beat podcast.
